Refuse to Lose" Colonie 8's win District 13 championship
On Sunday, our Colonie American team defeated Pine Bush American 6-2 to win the District 13 championship. As usual, the defense was the key factor. The defense was nothing short of outstanding as our players made one key play after another. If you saw the game, you still wouldn't believe this was a group of 8 year olds. Their poise & focus were incredible. Carter Bach was stellar at the pitcher's mound. Adam Zebrowski & Jake Hutton made a number of great plays backing each other up & covering 1st base for each other. For the second game in a row, Nick Pfaff & Dylan Jones, each had terrific catches in the outfield. There were a number of key hits with Jake Hutton, Ryan Lawyer, Nick Pfaff & Mike Lavigna each contributing 2 hits apiece. There weren't individual stars on this day because every player contributed to the win with good, solid play. Congratulations, Colonie American as you take your rightful place amongst the great championship teams that make-up the great tradition of Colonie Little League!
